Today I learned to take the time to stop and listen and feel and not just be anticipating what comes next all the time.
Today I learned that the reason that upper case and lower case letters are called "upper" and "lower" is because that is how they were shelved back in the printing days. The capital letters were used less frequently, so they were kept higher up, while the rest were kept on a lower shelf because they were used all the time and the lower shelf was easier to access.
Today I learned that there is a difference between an American German Shepherd and a German German Shepherd. Something about how their backs slope and oh yeah, two different countries (and there is a "European" bloodline in there too apparently....).
A librarian's musings on things mostly from the past: elements of yesterday that fascinate me and some book reviews to boot.
